I reached 10k followers on Instagram a few weeks ago. I am still so excited! The most exciting part is that I have the swipe up feature in my Instagram stories. About 2 weeks ago I asked on Instagram to ask me some questions they wanted to know. So I have saved a few and going to answer them today.

2017 Year In Review

This year was an interesting year. I started this blog, I faced some fears, I developed new friendships out of those friendships I got a new best friend. I worked with some amazing brands that is really unheard of in your first year of blogging, I wrote a book, got invited to some cool events. Wow.
Reflecting on the year as I'm writing it felt like not a lot has changed but everything has changed. I can't wait to see what next year holds. Starting this blog again was the best decision I made this year. I didn't realize how much this would change my life. I finally found my passion.

Catt Sadler leaves E! My Thoughts

I can't believe that in 2017 going into 2018 we still have to deal with the pay gap between men and women. Yesterday as I was looking at Catt Sadler Instagram stories she said she was leaving E! This came as a shock to me.

Leap Of Faith

Something very unexpected happened last Friday. I quit my job. I know. I felt it was coming since January. I wasn't excepting it at all right now but when it's time to go its time to go. I wasn't happy I was forcing myself to go.

Why I started blogging

Danielle N The City was born in 2013. Danielle my name, N my middle name is Noel, The City I live in Los Angeles. That name came to me right away. And I loved it ever since. I knew since the beginning I wanted a lifestyle blog so I can talk about a lot of different subjects. I always wanted a website.

Introduction to my weight loss journey

To be honest I wasn't planning on making this series. I wasn't going to document my weight loss and what I'm going through. I was just going to start posting more fashion things without telling you about how I lost weight.

Why is it so hard to let go?

All my life I have been a planner. I plan everything. I mean everything mostly in my head. Why don't I write things down more?  I have an hour by hour schedule in my head. I do this every day.  Like today I have a lot going on. I should have wrote this post a few days ago but here I am Wednesday morning writing this post.

I've been back blogging for about 2 months now and I'm really enjoying it. So I thought it's time for you to get to know me a little bit. Let's get started on these questions.

Is emotional vulnerability a bad thing?

Hey!

Have you ever hid your feelings for someone that you really really like so you wouldn't be vulnerable making you think you lost your power? I have. I have feelings for someone but I haven't been able to express them because of fear of vulnerability. I didn't know I had this problem.

Looking back I was really shut off to this person. I was scared they would reject me like so many in the past. So when this special person came around I was completely shut off / scared to show how I really felt. So I ran or just acted like they didn't mean much to me. But in reality they mean a lot to me. When I look back I wish I could have changed a lot of things. I would have gave bigger and tighter hugs or a nice smile and a hello. From now on I will be in the moment and not carry the weight of the past. And allow myself to be vulnerable because it can open the door to great things and greater love.

Bloomies? Where?!

Hey!

Sorry for not updating my blog for a bit. A lot of stuff is happening in my personal life. I wasn't feeling creative for a while. What's been going on with you?

I don't know if any of you know this but I LOVE Bloomingdales! The store is so chic, glam and inviting. I can move in there hahaha. I saw this cup on Pinterest and I had to get it!

I think this is so cute!

If you know Bloomingdales you know about there Brown Bags. I've been drinking out of this mug everyday. I LOVE it!

Day in the life #1

Hey!


Yesterday I had a nice day out with my mom. It was nice to get out after being sick for a week. The main reason for going out was to get Grand Theft Auto 5. Target was sold out of GTA 5 & Philip Lim stuff (I should have known) But anyway Best Buy had it so it was cool. After that we ended up at the Sherman Oaks Galleria for lunch, while we were waiting for our table at the Cheesecake Factory, we went into Urban Home.

My love for Chanel/ Random Thoughts #3

Hey!

I've been in LOVE with Chanel for years now. From the handbags, make-up, shoes, jewelry ect. Today I am going to show you my favorite perfume at the moment. (this might be played out but oh well hahaha)

I love this perfume. It's clean, fresh.  And it's my favorite color lol. I've been wearing it everyday since I bought it 3 months ago. 

Random Thought

I was going to look at all the fashion shows and pick my favorite show and put up my favorite looks and tell you why I like them (i still might do that if i see a show and i'm like wow) but I think i'm trying to be something that i'm not. I'm not your average "fashion blogger" I don't even know if I am a fashion blogger. I think i'm more of a "lifestyle" blogger. I need to stay true to myself and blog about things that I know and actually like. Not because all the bloggers are going crazy over NYFW. I woke up with that on my mind.

Today I saw Kris Jenner's talk show. It was the first time I watched it...I'm a Kardashian fan, but i forgot she even had a show. I watched the episode with Khloe. I loved Khloe I think she should have a talk show. There was some awkward moments but over all I liked the show.

Today I went browsing aka shopping today in Century City in one of my favorite malls. I love open air malls. Vegan food isn't all bad

Hey!


Yesterday was my brother's 22nd birthday. I can't believe he is 22! That means i'm getting older *sad face* We got his favorite food yesterday which is vegan food. We went to Native Foods Cafe to get his birthday dinner. I LOVE Native Foods Cafe everything is vegan and its so good!! He got Oklahoma Bacon Cheeseburger, I tried to get a pic but he ate it to fast. I got the chili cheese fries, and my mom got the portobello and sausage burger. I'm getting hungry while i'm thinking about it!!

If your ever see a Native Foods Cafe give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm lactose intolerant so I shouldn't be eating dairy anyway. But I still do.....so bad.

Random thoughts

Hey!

I've been searching my mind for the past 3 days about what to blog about.. I had several ideas but none of them stuck. I've been reading books about blogging and googling topics I can write about but nothing seemed right. So now I'm just letting my fingers guide me. So its about to get personal!


For the past week i've been having a lot of deja vu moments. On Saturday I had 4 in about a 3 hour span. Its been crazy. I don't really know what they mean. If you know please leave it down in the comments.
I've been thinking about going to Vegas for a late b-day trip. I love vegas!! Even though I just shop, and hang out. I love how you can take a nap at 10pm get up at 1am go downstairs and have fun! I've been playing this game on facebook called "myvegas" so I can get a comp room or a discounted room. I love a discount hahaha. But I want to do that in the middle of September.

I'm having the hardest time picking which hotel to stay in the choices are: 

•  The Cosmopolitan
• The Palms
• The Palazzo/Venetian
• The Wynn

 Which do you prefer?
