William S. Hart Museum

This post is picture heavy

This weekend I got to explore the William S. Hart Museum in Newhall, California. If you don't know who he was he was a silent film star. He is mostly remembered for his western films. I had no idea who he was before this adventure. Not a huge silent movie fan. But it didn't take away from the experience.

The museum is actually his home and everything in there is original. Stepping into his home was like stepping back in the 1920s. It was really cool. Now I have to go watch some of his movies since I've been in his home its only right.

I wish we could have seen his sisters room. Her room looked so cool. But it was blocked off from her hallway. Sorry the pictures are a little grainy I couldn't use flash since everything in the house was original and super fragile. Our tour guide April was really good and informative. Every tour guide talks about different things so you can come more than once and have a different experience every time.

If you're planning to come I would come early especially if it's going to be a warm day because you have to take a nature trail to go up to the house. And wear walking shoes because you're going to be walking on rocks and dirt uphill. But it was really cool. They even have animals on the property. They are in cages so don't worry.

He even had a ranch house it was on the bottom of the hill and it's haunted. Nobody said its haunted but it is and I experienced it first hand. The doorknob was shaking and I was the only one in the room. It freaked me out. But it was really cool haha. I wonder who it was?

If you have a chance to come please do. The best part is it's completely free the parking and everything.
